Queens, NY, is a safe place

Queens, NY, has experienced a decrease in serious crime in recent years, making it one of the safest neighborhoods in New York City. Queens generally has lower crime rates than Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, especially in areas like Kew Gardens and Forest Hills. However, it's important to recognize that with 91 districts, crime rates can vary. Prospective residents should research specific areas to understand the levels of violent and property crimes. While Queens is generally considered safe, all New Yorkers need to adhere to safety measures such as not walking alone, considering self-defense equipment, and having a home security system.
